At Synergy, we use a wide range of ZO Skin Health products and treatment protocols formulated by Dr Zen Obagi as a prescriptive skin programme to complement the medical skin care range. The ZO Skin Health range encompasses a broad spectrum of treatment protocols suitable for all ages, skin conditions, ethnicity and gender.
The ZO Skin Health range has been developed using the very latest advancements in skin therapy technology to combat all the significant challenges your skin faces. Many skin conditions can be tackled using high-grade dermatological ingredients including a broad range of antioxidants, Retinol and Vitamin C.
Your ZO Skin Health treatment will follow the ZO treatment protocol and will include deep cleansing, exfoliation where necessary, moisture PH balancing and moisturising. This range of facials and peels can be applied as a stand-alone treatment, or used in conjunction with other therapies as part of a tailored programme.

Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as part of your ZO Skin Health facial as a skin care treatment. A small, sterile blade is used on clean, dry skin on the forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and neck to remove dead skin cells. It improves skin texture and tone, while the long-term effects include an increased cell turnover, fewer wrinkles and dark spots, reduction of acne scarring, and the removal of fine facial hair.
ZO Medical Peels
In addition to the ZO Skin Health facials, we also offer the Stimulator Red Carpet Peel and ZO Medical 3-Step peel.
These highly effective peels are suitable for all skin types and work by exfoliating the top layers of skin and stimulating cellular function in the skin’s deeper layers while soothing the skin.
This is a medium depth peel and downtime can be up to one week with redness and peeling.
Stimulator ‘Red Carpet’ Peel
The Stimulator peel works wonders in minutes. It’s a quick and easy treatment that will miraculously smooth away fine to moderate lines and wrinkles, acne, age spots, uneven pigmentation and rough skin texture. It works by stimulating cellular turnover to improve skin tone, texture and clarity with no downtime.
It is known as the Red Carpet peel due to the number of celebrities that use this facial to look picture perfect for red carpet events. Although it’s gentle on the skin, it makes a visible difference by brightening and refreshing your skin.
It contains three different acids to exfoliate your skin and promote cell turnover with 10% Salicylic Acid, 10% Lactic Acid and 10% Citric Acid. These are known as AHA or Alpha Hydroxy acids and are effective in dissolving dead skin cells and give a great exfoliation to the upper layers of the skin. Salicylic acid works on oily, acne prone skin and citric acid provides the skin with a healthy glow.
You will see results after just one peel, with maximum benefits achieved with a course of three or four peels two weeks apart. The timing of the peel is essential, as skin may get a bit flaky two days afterwards before fresher skin becomes evident.
ZO Medical 3-Step Peel
The ZO Medical 3-Step peel provides long-lasting benefits, improving acne, acne scarring, melasma (pigmentation), sun damage, fine lines, rough texture, large pores and lacklustre skin.
The peel contains a mixture of acids (17% Salicylic Acid, 10% TCA and 5% Lactic Acid).
The ZO Medical 3-Step peel is carried out in three steps:
Step 1 – The peel solution is applied, this is a blend of salicylic, trichloroacetic, and lactic acids, to minimise inflammation and help hydrate the skin.
Step 2 – Stimulating Retinol Crème is applied after the peel solution to stimulate cellular function at a deep level for collagen enhancement, firming, and wrinkle reduction.
Step 3 – The Calming Creme Post Procedure Skin Relief is applied minimise inflammation and irritation that may result after the first two steps. It also restores moisture levels.
